Tuesday, June 26, 2007--Scene & Heard ( Winston Salem Journal) - An 'Engaging' Night: Audience filled with enthusiasm: Winston Salem Youth Arts Institute Celebrates 5 Years. Devora Ascott Transou is the vice president the board and chairperson of this year's fundraiser entitled Project Doors.
Saturday, June 23, 2007--Devora will host a Youth Paint Day for the Winston Salem Youth Arts Institute. These youth will learn how to paint whimsical art for their organization's annual fundraiser "Project Doors"! Each youth will receive a door donated by Habitat for Humanities to paint. Under the instruction of Devora and other local artist, these doors will be prepared to showcase throughout the city at local banks, retail stores, and restaurants for a month long silent auction.
